Six Flags Magic Mountain is an amusement park located in Valencia, California north of Los Angeles. Some of the theme park's most popular roller coasters are - X2, Tatsu, Goliath and The Riddler's Revenge. Six Flags Magic Mountain is also known for having the most inversions for a single park with six different looping coasters. Adjacent to Six Flags Magic Mountain is a separate admission water park, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.

Ticket prices have slowly been increasing the past few years to $63 for anyone over 10, and $53 for children under 10 at the time of this publication. There are special discounts on Disneyland tickets available such as if you know someone in southern California, you can save $5-$10 a ticket. Disney usually has discounts if you plan to visit Disneyland and California Adventure throughout the week. For more info, check out Disney's website.

A relatively new addition, this is a completely separate theme park next to the original Disneyland in Anaheim. Take advantage of Disney's discounts with hopper passes that allow you to go to both Disneyland and California Adventure.

At America's favorite theme park, experience GhostRider the world's best wooden roller coaster, Supreme Scream, 30-stories up, 3 seconds down and the high-octane thrill of Xcelerator, rated the world's best launch coaster, sending riders 0-80 in 2.3 seconds. For a different type of thrill, stroll on over to Camp Snoopy, home to the beloved PEANUTS gang. Comments Knott is known as the other theme park in Orange County, second to Disney's Disneyland and California Adventures. If you have kids under 10, Knott has a Camp Snoopy themed area within the park that will keep the young kids entertained. The prices are very affordable with kids between 3 and 11 only $14.95, adults $39.95 ($31.95 if you live in Southern California), and seniors that are 62 and over at $14.95. Just like Disneyland tickets, if you know anyone at a local college, you may be able to save as much as $10 to $15 bucks on an adult ticket.

San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is located south of Orange County in San Diego. Only about 1 hour 30 minutes drive from most of Orange County, the San Diego Zoo is a great place to see over 4,000 different animals and thousands of exotic plants. The zoo will not give you the same rush and thrill as riding a rollercoaster but if you are into animals or need a calm relaxing day, then making the drive down to San Diego and visiting the zoo and enjoying some of San Diego's finest restaurants in downtown. sandiegozoo

Magic Mountain

Anyone who loves rollercoasters cannot go to Southern California without making a trip to Magic Mountain. Take advantage of discounts available on admission by buying your tickets online. Not only do you save time by not having to wait in line, you save money. The parent company who owns the Magic Mountain park in Valencia, California has put the theme park on sale. So Magic Mountain may be going away soon depending on the buyer.
